Something Is Lulling On
Something is lulling on
All the days are so tender,
In the new summer sun
As the dark will surrender;
Deep feelings in the dark
Will it sing moody tunes,
Hearing the winter's lark
Build on the autumn ruins.
That were from yesteryear
Buildings in the gone past,
With your sorrow and fear
Falling to rubble and dust;
We had given dreams all up
Romance from gone days,
Filling with tears our cup
Everything in turning ways.
Sweethearts now gone old
Yesterdays in the breeze,
Nothing further on to hold
Only the passing memories.
All the days are so tender,
In the new summer sun
As the dark will surrender;
Deep feelings in the dark
Will it sing moody tunes,
Hearing the winter's lark
Build on the autumn ruins.
That were from yesteryear
Buildings in the gone past,
With your sorrow and fear
Falling to rubble and dust;
We had given dreams all up
Romance from gone days,
Filling with tears our cup
Everything in turning ways.
Sweethearts now gone old
Yesterdays in the breeze,
Nothing further on to hold
Only the passing memories.
